Administration and Residence

With views overlooking the downtown core of Pendleton, our campus and state of the art facilities include separate buildings for administration and animal assisted therapy, as well as for the clinical and educational programs.

  • Administrative Headquarters and Psychiatric Residence—a modern facility built in 1998 to house administrative services and a secure, residential psychiatric treatment residence, a kitchen, dining accommodations and recreation space.
  • Clinic and School

  • School and Clinical Building—a state-of-the-art facility opened in December of 2002 which houses individual and group counseling, education programs for both residential students and day treatment students, family visitations, professional library, meetings and conferences, and medical and ancillary care.
  • Horse Barn and Corral—Opened in January of 2004, the state-of-the-art horse barn, tack room, and corrals house our horses, ponies, pygmy goats, miniature donkey (Ellie Mae), miniature horse (Dule), dogs, and cats.
  • Equine Therapy Facility

    Family Treatment Cabins—Three homes will be built within the next year to provide facilities to engage whole families in their child’s treatment planning. The cabins will provide the setting where we can transfer the gains that have been made with the children in residential treatment to their families who have long-term responsibility for their care and well being. Pendleton Academies’ staff members will work with the child and his/her family to maximize their experiences.     with specialized psychological and psychiatric supervision, consultation, and medication management will be provided in the family setting. Parents and family members will be offered recreational activities while on campus and supported in practicing skills needed to help manage their children’s illnesses.
  • Recreation Therapy Center— Outdoor recreational facilities include a swing and young child's play area, green lawn and patio areas, a large riding field, putting green, spaces for organized games, and an exercise course along a walk trail. Pendleton is located in the northeast corner of Oregon, at the foot of the Blue Mountains. With a population of approximately 15,000, it is the seat of government for Umatilla County. The Confederated Tribes of Umatilla Indian Reservation is nearby, and the culturally diverse region includes Native American and Hispanic families. We are a community known for working collaboratively and for helping our neighbors.
