Children at Pendleton Academies receive individualized attention. Our philosophy is that children have the most rapid and best improvement when they are treated one-on-one and in small groups by a large group of caring adults modeling healthy behavior. We are proud of our dedicated and highly qualified, Masters and Doctorate level professional and medical staff. For them, working with the children at Pendleton Academies, and their families, is a labor of love.

Here’s how our treatment team works: A therapeutic services team is assembled for each child, bringing together the array of expertise needed to provide an individualized program of therapy for the child and his or her family. The team includes:

  • a child psychiatrist
  • a psychologist
  • a psychotherapist (individual and family therapy)
  • a case coordinator
  • a teacher/education specialist
  • residential and school aides
  • a Pendleton Academies Children’s Treatment Family

The team draws on a dietician, pediatrician, nurse, and other medical and educational experts such as drug and alcohol counselors as needed.

Our psychotherapy teams (composed of a psychotherapist and case coordinator) each handle a maximum caseload of 10 children each. They see each child at least twice weekly for therapy sessions and more frequently in informal settings. The child’s case coordinator serves as the liaison between the clinical team, educational staff, child, parents, and community-based service providers. Our psychotherapy teams are:
