Pendleton Academies makes every effort to involve family members in their child's education and treatment. We accomplish this by using conference calls, televideo conferencing and Internet-based broadband video conferencing. We make it as easy and cost efficient as possible for family members, and persons on community-based treatment teams with a confirmed interest in a child's treatment, to participate in meetings. This is especially important for those who do not live in close proximity to Pendleton.

Each child is assigned a case coordinator whose responsibility it is to communicate with the child's family, including informing them about regularly scheduled meetings to discuss education and treatment activities. Parents, community-based caseworkers, agency personnel, and our education and treatment teams work side-by-side in the following activities:

  • Admission Process
  • Bio-psycho-social review
  • Treatment planning
  • Individual education plan development
  • Weekly medication reviews
  • Monthly psychiatric reviews
  • Aftercare planning
  • Family support after discharge.
