Administration and Residence

Pendleton Academies' Children's Therapeutic Families (CTF) program is the result of a carefully thought-out agreement reached between a Pendleton Area family and Pendleton Academies. In fact, there are 30 such agreements in place with Therapeutic Families today. This is one of the key features of our work; it is where intensive therapeutic residential care is provided in evening and weekend hours for Pendleton Academies' children.

Families that contract with us receive intensive initial training and are required to participate in regular educational sessions. They receive extensive day-to-day professional support from the Academies' clinical and education program staff, as well as support and crisis intervention if or when it is needed.

Our children's treatment family model is a crucial element of our high degree of success helping children with socialization and accountability skills. The families function as part of a child's treatment team, working closely with therapists, teachers, and clinical staff to monitor progress, set new goals, and ensure a consistent approach to rewards and discipline.
