Children's Art Work

Successfully transitioning children from residential treatment back into their communities is historically difficult for most programs. Pendleton Academies’ treatment model means we accomplish this difficult task with high success rates.

At Pendleton Academies, we work with children and adolescents to build strengths and behaviors that relate to personal, academic, familial, and interpersonal issues. We specialize in helping children succeed in family and community functions, carefully structuring individualized therapeutic treatment that is on going, 24 hours a day in all settings.

We do this through an experienced, expert staff and more than 30 Trained Therapeutic Families where many of our kids live, as well as through classroom education, art, cultural and animal therapy programs, and counseling. We also find success with aggressive attention to medical science – an area of mental health care that is meeting with greater treatment success than ever before.

Finally, mental health treatment should include culturally responsive services and character education promoting personal insight, a heightened degree of self-worth and responsibility, as well as healthy family relationships, moral stability, and social competence.
