Our goal is to quickly get children on a healthy path, and arm them with the tools, skills and medications they need to stay healthy and succeed in their lives. Along with the best outcomes for children who have left our program, Pendleton Academies' results have consistently rated us among the shortest lengths of stays for children admitted for psychiatric treatment. We count in months, while other residential psychiatric programs often count in years. Pendleton Academies' treatment helps children return to their families, schools, and communities faster, less expensively, and with very positive mental health and behavioral changes.

  • Short stays-According to audits conducted by Acumenta Health - an outside agency paid by the State to ensure treatment excellence - children treated by Pendleton Academies consistently have the lowest average length of stay while showing equal improvement when compared to other treatment centers. They report that for the period of January 1 to December 31, 2005, Pendleton Academies' average stay was 133.7 days for children in Residential Psychiatric Treatment-the lowest length of stay among children's residential treatment facilities in the state. They report that children's improvement during this period was also among the highest. The average length of stay for children in Secure Psychiatric Assessment, Stabilization and Brief Treatment was 56.9 days, and in Psychiatric Residential Treatment Services it averaged between 3 and 4 months over the last three years.

  • Compassionate, high quality services-According to nationally collected data from CHIMP*-a nationally approved data quality assurance organization-statistics show that since 1999, Pendleton Academies has been in the top 20th percentile in the nation in important measures such as low seclusions and restraints, low injuries, low medication errors, and high client improvement rates.
